What a preview's numeric bins span. "domain" cuts the binding's own domain, so a narrowed domain narrows the bins with it. "data" cuts the values' whole extent together with the domain, so an editor drawing the bins as its axis keeps every value on it while the domain moves inside: each bin still paints what the binding paints there, and below and above still count against the domain.
