AttributeLeafNodes = "all" | "ends" | "none"

Which nodes a range or categories leaf keeps when its attribute lives on edges (such as data.weight). "all" (the default): the leaf is silent about nodes, so every node stays and only the passing edges are kept. "ends": only the nodes at the ends of a passing edge are kept. When the nodes carry the attribute too, "ends" keeps a node only when it passes AND is an end. "none" (since 3.26.0): the leaf holds no nodes at all, and the edges that pass are kept whatever the rule's edge reading says of their ends, so a rule about edges on a layer that paints nodes and edges paints just the passing edges.
