The layers that read nothing this session answers, and the layers naming a set this project does not hold (detached).

They are IN the stack and disabled, never dropped: a layer naming a run that has not been started is a correct layer over a session that will answer it later, and the way to make it paint is update(id, { enabled: true }) once the data is there.
