bins?

How many bins to produce. The element picks a sensible number when this is absent.

scale?

readonly optional scale?: "linear" | "auto" | "log"

Whether the bin edges are evenly spaced or logarithmic.

"auto" takes whichever the column's own spread argues for, which is what a chart drawn without a reader's instruction should do. Whatever is asked for, Histogram.scale reports what was applied.
