The built-in layout names kept only as aliases, and removed at the next major release.

force-2d is the force layout drawn by its two-dimensional arf engine: asking for it sets layout force with engine arf, which is what session.layout then reports. It is no longer in catalog.layouts(). The name stays in KNOWN_LAYOUT_IDS, so no plugin can claim it and no code that names it stops compiling.
