A scope specification resolved against the graph as it stands.
Declared here because a run carries the scope it ran over and the scope API has not landed. It moves to the scope module when that arrives; nothing should declare a second one in the meantime.

Equal digests mean equal scopes, which is how staleness is derived rather than tracked. Versioned: d1: and 16 hex digits, comparable only within one session and store. Computed on first read.
